Muramenti Sport Fishing Lake
FISHING REGULATIONS
Valid from: February 1, 2025 – January 31, 2026
The fishing regulations and the issued territorial permit apply to the following waters:
Muramenti Sport Fishing Lake (Water Code: 20-081-1-1)
Before starting to fish, every angler is required to familiarize themselves with and comply with:
- Act CII of 2013 on Fisheries and Fish Protection (Hhvtv.)
- Government Decree No. 133/2013 (XII.29.) (Vhr.) on the implementation of the Act
- The National Fishing Regulations
- These local fishing regulations
GENERAL INFORMATION
a) Fishing is allowed:
- Winter season: 08:00 – 20:00
- Summer season: 06:00 – 22:00
- With cabin rental: 24-hour fishing is permitted
b) Non-native fish species (grass carp, largemouth bass) must not be released back into the lake. Further details are found in Section 2.
1. EQUIPMENT USAGE
a) Fishing is allowed with two rods, each equipped with one barbless hook.
- Youth and children’s fishing is permitted with one rod and one barbless hook.
b) Braided fishing lines are prohibited.
c) Fixed lead sinkers are prohibited.
d) For spinning fishing, only one single barbless hook is allowed on artificial lures.
e) Mandatory equipment: A landing net, carp mat, and hook remover must be used.
f) Fish intended to be kept (as per Section 2) must be held in a keepnet with rings.
2. QUANTITY, SIZE, AND CATCH LIMITATIONS
a) The territorial permit for Muramenti Sport Fishing Lake does not entitle anglers to keep fish.
- Fish cannot be collected in a net even for weighing, except if an angler with a sport fishing permit catches an invasive, non-native fish species (as per Act CII of 2013 on Fisheries and Fish Protection), which must not be returned to the water.
- If an angler catches a non-native species (grass carp, largemouth bass), it must also not be released back into the lake, as per the local fishing regulations.
b) Non-native fish species (grass carp, largemouth bass) must be paid for at the daily rate.
- If the angler does not wish to keep the caught fish, they must hand them over in a lifeless state to the authorized fishery manager.
c) If a protected fish species (subject to national fishing regulations) dies due to improper handling or unhooking, it must also be paid for at the daily rate.
3. OTHER REGULATIONS
a) Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas. Driving to the lakeshore is only allowed for unloading purposes.
b) Fishing gear exceeding the permitted amount may only be kept in a non-functional state.
c) The fishing area is monitored by cameras. By purchasing a territorial permit, the angler agrees that photos and video recordings may be taken during their stay.
d) It is strictly forbidden to destroy aquatic plants, feed fish, or pre-bait.
- Only cooked grains may be used for baiting.
- Boilies and pellets are prohibited.
e) Lighting fires is prohibited! - Exceptions: Designated fire pits, charcoal, or gas grills for cooking.
f) Swimming in the lake and allowing pets to swim is prohibited!
g) Fish caught under conditions specified in Section 2 must be kept in live water only. - Leaving fish in a bucket, out of water, or exposing them to slow suffocation is strictly prohibited.
- Foul-hooked fish must not be kept.
4. RULES FOR SUPPORTING FISHERY SUPERVISION
a) By purchasing a territorial permit, the angler accepts the local fishing regulations.
b) Anglers must comply with inspections and cooperate with the fishery wardens.
